Armourcoat is family owned and based in Kent, England. From beginnings in specialist racket sports hard plasters in 1983, Armourcoat has grown to become the world’s leading supplier of decorative polished plaster, innovative surface finishes and sculptural effects.

Expertise in hard plaster technology and highly prized craftsmanship led Armourcoat to capture over 80% of the world market for fast-moving ball sports, whether squash, racquets or real tennis.  In 1988 the company went on to create the revival of interest in the ancient technique of polished plaster, devising stunning new compositions and application techniques. Extensive research and development and the introduction of a computerized pigmentation system in 1997 enabled accurate reproduction and a truly kaleidoscopic range of colours.  In 1998 customized polished plaster finishes were augmented by the launch of the Selector Range of Polished Plaster.

In 2000, the company launched Duturo, a completely seamless, stone-like finish and a genuine breakthrough in high volume, cost-effective wall finishes.  A year later in 2001, another significant milestone in the history of polished plaster was reached with the launch of Armourcast GRG stone casting, which allows polished plasters to be enjoyed as sculpted forms and extended to applications which the ancients could never have dreamed of.
