What is ArmourColor?
ArmourColor is a new division of Armourcoat, the world¹s foremost
manufacturer of decorative surface finishes. Created from an ongoing
development programme committed to product innovation and technical
excellence, ArmourColor offers a new range of high performance, interior
wall finishes.
The ArmourColor range comprises of three decorative finishes, each offering
a seamless, hardwearing, creative and inspirational design alternative to
paint, wallpaper and vinyl wall coverings. Producing impressive interiors
which combine colour and durability, they add personality to any space.
How do I order ArmourColor finishes?
ArmourColor products, tools and accessories are available directly from Armourcoat Ltd. You can buy online, or order by telephone on 01732 460668 (9.00am-5.00pm Monday-Friday).
ArmourColor products are designed for use by the professional decorator. We recommend that you attend our half-day training courses to guide your though the correct product application techniques.
Where can I view ArmourColor finishes in person?

Can I use ArmourColor finishes in my bathroom, wet-room or swimming pool?
All ArmourColor products are formulated to be anti-mould, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial. All of the finishes can therefore be used in humid environments provided adequate ventilation exists. The finishes are not suitable to be used in areas constantly exposed to moisture such as wet rooms and shower cubicles.
Please ensure when using the ArmourColor products in humid environments that the substrates to which they are applied are also suitable. Avoid the use of wood based products like MDF and chipboard, and also plasterboard and gypsum based jointing compounds.
What are the benefits over paint, wallpaper or vinyl wallcoatings?
Over a standard matt emulsion paint, ArmourColor creates a decorative rather
than flat finish which offers a nicer ambiance. ArmourColor is much more
cleanable, without affecting the surface and is much more resistant to water
based stains. It is much more durable and scuff resistant.
Over wallpaper, ArmourColor creates a seamless finish, which is unaffected
by moisture and humidity, does not peel off, is more repairable and can be
washed and cleaned without affecting the surface.
Over vinyl wallcovering, ArmourColor creates a seamless finish with no
visible joins, does not peel off, releases no odour or off-gassing, and has
low voc content. They are therefore more environmentally friendly, more
repairable and look more natural.
Do you offer training?
Yes. Our comprehensive half-day training course covers practical application of the three ArmourColor products; Perlata, Escenta and Tactite. Site preparation, tools and techniques will be included to ensure you can achieve the desired professional effect. The registration fee includes a certificate of attendance, an ArmourColor poloshirt and training pack. You will also be eligible to apply for membership of the ArmourColor professional decorator network. You can then use your ArmourColor-approved status to appeal to customers, benefit from our homeowner lead service providing good quality referrals, and receive trade discounts.
How do I specify ArmourColor finishes for commercial projects?
Architects and designers can be assured of the highest quality application throughout the UK with the ArmourColor Premier Decorator Network. The Network is made up of a select group of commercial decorating contractors, highly skilled and with a trained workforce able to carry out large-scale projects such as hotels, shopping centres and commercial interiors. We can also provide product data sheets and supporting test data for all ArmourColor finishes. Do ArmourColor products have a warranty?
All the products within the ArmourColor range carry a full material warranty for a period of 1 year from the date of manufacture. Armourcoat operates strict quality control procedures for each batch of product manufactured to ensure consistency and quality. Whilst Armourcoat provides a full material warranty, the wall preparation and consistency of application remains the responsibility of the applicator.
